President/CEO Independent Petroleum Association of America

Barry Russell is President of the Independent Petroleum Association of America. (IPAA) Mr Russell, joined IPAA in 1980 and also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Association and is responsible for its day-to-day operations.

Anne Ford
Executive Director, IPAA/PESA Energy Education Center

Anne Ford joined IPAA in 2010 and is the Education Center Executive Director. She has over 30 years experience in workforce development and human resource management in national and global roles in the energy industry and served as a founding member of the IPAA/PESA Education Advisory Board.

Sarah Hewitt
Director, IPAA/PESA Energy Education Center

Sarah Hewitt joined IPAA in 2008 and is the Energy Education Center Director. She is responsible for overseeing operations on each IPAA/PESA petroleum academy campus. Ms. Hewitt serves as the primary volunteer contact for any individual interested in becoming involved with the IPAA/PESA Energy Education Center.

Sarah Castro
Senior Associate Director, IPAA/PESA Energy Education Center

Sarah Castro joined IPAA in 2013 as the Associate Director for the Houston area. She has partnered with Education Center as a dean of students at Westside High School involved in the Westside Engineering and Geosciences Academy for the past three years. Ms. Castro has also been an elementary school principal, a teacher, and an administrator in the Houston Independent School District. Ms. Castro is responsible for organizing and coordinating the variety of educational initiatives provided at each IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academy campus, with a particular focus on the Houston area.

Kelley Hedges
Program Administrator, IPAA/PESA Energy Education Center

Kelley Hedges joined the IPAA/PESA Energy Education Center as Program Administrator in January, 2014. She brings a deep background in accounting, event coordination and graphic design with more than 40 years experience. Ms. Hedges is responsible for the detailed execution of the Energy Education Center’s programs.
